Aside from hair, the most frequently asked question I get is about cosmetic surgery.  What do I know about it? Do I know anyone that has had “it” done? What Dr.s would I recommend? Can people tell?

My answer?: What do you want to know? I’ve had various procedures over the years, and I don’t mind sharing what I’ve had done.  But I do want to stress, WHAT IS RIGHT FOR ME, MAY NOT BE RIGHT FOR YOU!!  Use this for informational purposes only.  I stand in front of a mirror for 8 hours a day, 4 days a week.  I see every wrinkle, sag, and bulge I have all day long.  It has created a unique mental illness:/ I probably wouldn’t be so self conscious if I wasn’t faced with the harsh reality of the aging process staring me in the face all day long. But it is what it is and I choose to create a prettier reflection rather than quit hairdressing:) So over the next year I will blog and video anything I have done.  Use this as a way of being better informed on the choices that are out there and if any of them are of interest to you.

I’ve been getting Botox for the past 9 years.  I started when I was young. My theory; I want to do small procedures on a regular basis so I never go through a DRASTIC appearance change.  While I am well aware that I cannot prevent aging, I can stop my forehead from looking like a Shar Pei.  The video posted is Dr Hanna (630-887-8180) using the latest Botox placement on the market, Dysport.  In the video you will see me ACTUALLY getting Dysport!  It’s quick, easy and will see the whole process.

This time of year it’s easy to get sidetracked with going here and there. Buying, returning, planning.  Christmas has turned into a speeding train, either get on or get out of the way, cause it’s coming fast.  As a business owner it a time to focus on sales and marketing and blah blah blah.  But a client said something today that I am thankful for and would like to share.

“What if everything was taken away that we had not given thanks for?”

Wow……. it stopped me in my tracks. Cause of course, I think of myself as being thankful for what I have. But when was the last time I sat and gave thanks for each and every blessing in my life? Not just the obvious, big ones, but little ones we take for granted, like a toothbrush or blowdryer, or something we think of as  silly.  What if I forgot one and it was taken away? What if that one slip was all it took for everything to disappear? 

So I am taking a time out to be truly thankful.  It’s a long time out, cause the list is long and I want to make sure I get it all.

Have you ever noticed how eyebrow trends change; fuller/ skinnier? Well I do but the basis of every good looking eyebrow is the proper shape and I’m gonna help you get it right! First things first getting the correct distance between them… Take a ruler or pencil and line it up with your nostril and straight up along the inner corner of your eye that is where your eyebrow should start; this changes if you have eyes that are to close together or to wide apart; Mark that point. Then comes your arch this should be lined up by again taking the ruler by your nostril and matching it up with the outer side of your colored part of the eye; mark that point. How long should they be? Take the ruler and again by the nostril follow it up by the outer corner of your eye; mark that point. Connect and you will have a perfect shaped brow customized for you! We at Lisa Rene know all of this and will help you get that perfect shape but there does come some maintenance! to keep up with this perfect shape we have just created for you, you will want to come in anytime between 4-6 weeks! Also don’t forget to keep them nice and polished looking everyday to accentuate that great look you have; reference my video for details on that!
